Thousand Trails Las Vegas

Thousand Trails Las Vegas RV Resort; Las Vegas, NV Campground Review

Thousand Trails Las Vegas RV Resort is in a great location for enjoying the numerous activities available around the area. Situated just five miles from The Strip and five miles from the Fremont Street Experience, this campground is a great option for a home base. We stayed at Thousand Trails Las Vegas RV Resort for seven nights in February 2020. We were visiting family in the area and appreciate having this Thousand Trails property to make use of during our regular visits.

Thousand Trails Colorado River

Thousand Trails Colorado River RV Park; Columbus, TX Campground Review

Thousand Trails Colorado River RV Park is very conveniently located just five miles off I-10 between Houston and San Antonio. This campground is a nice mix of amenities and natural areas and is a great spot to stop for a few days or even a bit longer. We stayed at Thousand Trails Colorado River RV Park for four nights in January 2020. We were on a cross-country trip from Florida to Nevada and picked this location to rest for a few days before continuing west. We arrived on a Saturday, and unfortunately all the full hookup sites were occupied and we ended up with a water/electric site. Fortunately, we were only staying a few days, so after dumping our tanks we settled into site D4.

Natchez Trace Wilderness Preserve

Natchez Trace Wilderness Preserve; Hohenwald, TN – Thousand Trails – Campground Review

We’re doing another review of a Thousand Trails campground due to the unique features and experience at this RV park. We had planned to be at Natchez Trace Wilderness Preserve for the last two weeks of May but only stayed one night. While this park has many things going for it, there was one aspect that was a total deal breaker for us. First, let’s review the basics.

Carolina Landing Campground Review

Carolina Landing RV Resort; Fair Play, SC – Thousand Trails – Campground Review

We stayed at Carolina Landing RV Resort for ten days in early May. We were in the Carolinas area for business reasons and also were able to visit with our sons while we were in the region. We don’t do full reviews on every Thousand Trails RV park we stay in because they’re fairly consistent in experience. However, this one is different enough from the norm that we thought it would be good to share our experience.

Thousand Trails Bay Landing

Thousand Trails Bay Landing; Bridgeport, TX Campground Review

Thousand Trails Bay Landing was our third Thousand Trails campground, and we’re definitely feeling comfortable and settling in to the routine of Thousand Trails campsites.  Bay Landing Campground is situated about midway between Dallas and Wichita Falls.  While the entrance to the park is right on US-380 and adjacent to the municipal airport, the sites are all grouped around a cove of Lake Bridgeport at least four miles down a partially paved road.   This separation creates a good amount of buffer from road noise, and the airplane noise is minimal and not very frequent.

Thousand Trails Lake Texoma

Thousand Trails Lake Texoma; Gordonsville, TX Campground Review

Thousand Trails Lake Texoma was our first campground stay in the state of Texas 🙂 and our second Thousand Trails stay.  Lake Texoma is actually a widening of the Red River and, as the name suggests, is on the border between Texas and Oklahoma directly between Dallas and Oklahoma City.  The campground is situated on the south side of the lake, and you can access the lake directly from the campground.  We had a good time exploring around the shore of the lake on some of the moderately rough unpaved roads in the Jeep.

Thousand Trails Forest Lake

Thousand Trails Forest Lake; Advance, NC – Campground Review

We enjoyed our stay at Thousand Trails Forest Lake but unfortunately had to leave earlier than planned due to torrential rain coming in from Hurricane Florence.  We stayed here from September 4 through 12, 2018.  This park is an hour north of Charlotte which made it convenient for us to wrap up some last minute details like moving our stored items into a different location and smaller unit.
